Our Team.

We are followers of Jesus and firm believers that when Jesus said, "go and teach all nations" He meant it. We also aim to walk in His footsteps by imitating His example. Jesus mingled with the people as one who desired their good, He showed them sympathy, met their needs, won their trust and then called them to follow Him. We endeavour to do the same.

Spink Mahuta

Spink is the leader of Jungle Ministry, here in Honiara, Solomon Islands. He is born and bred Solomon Islander, loves his people, and most of all loves Jesus.  He is a policeman by profession but has a passion to introduce his friend Jesus to his countrymen who have never met Him. This passion led him in 2013 to remote jungles where there are no roads and no access except by long hikes on foot. This is where Jungle Ministry began.

Lavern works in IT. At 22 years old he also plays for the National Rugby Squad, but his passion is in Jungle Ministry. He is the leading scout on hikes. Before joining Lavern was not an active Christian, but now walking the jungle his faith is alive. He took the idea and shared it with his own youth group and now there are hundreds more young people involved in Jungle Ministry.
